The third edition of MATCHER lasted two and a half months (September 13 – November 29) was entirely dedicated to the theme of Human Centric Innovation.
The program aims to create business meetings between players in the Italian and international innovation ecosystem to encourage the contamination of ideas and the co-creation of innovative solutions.
OVERALL PROGRAM RESULTS
MATCH.POINT
MATCH.POINT was a unique chance for Corporate partners and admitted Startups from all over the world to meet and create a win-win relationship aimed at developing concrete pilot with a quick go-to-market.
This phase of the program (13th of September – 11th of November 2022) had the aim of putting 11 local companies in contact with the best international start-ups/scale-ups active in the field of Human Centric Innovation to start collaborations and pilots on 13 specific innovation challenges identified with the companies themselves.
These challenges are grouped into three thematic clusters:
- PROCESS OPTIMIZATION, AUTOMATION AND CUSTOMER CENTRICITY,
- TRAINING TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE SHARING
- WORKPLACE COMMUNITY, WELLBEING AND INCLUSION
MATCH.POINT ha seen the participation of 11 companies and 104 start-ups/scale-ups from 21 countries. During this phase of the programme, 89 meetings were held, for a total of approximately 45 hours.

BIG.MATCH
BIG.MATCH,an online brokerage event took place on November 28th, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (CET). The event was open to all the actors of the innovation ecosystem starting from companies and start-ups to accelerators, incubators, public institutions, research centers and universities.
BIG.MATCH has seen 70 registered participants from 12 countries that organized 76 meetings.
Following the registration, each participant was able to take advantage of their profile on the platform, with the aim of presenting their technological, commercial, research and development needs, as well as looking for potential partners. BIG.MATCH was a unique opportunity to meet strategic partners and important players in the international innovation ecosystem of Human Centric Innovation and to start a collaboration.

FINAL.MATCH
FINAL.MATCH was the closing event of MATCHER where institutional guests, business managers and start-ups talked about innovation, with a specific focus on the key themes of this edition of MATCHER and on the role of Open Innovation.
FINAL.MATCH took place on November 29, from 16:00 to 20:00 (local time) at the deconsecrated Church of San Giorgio in Poggiale in Bologna. The event has been recorded.
FINAL.MATCH was a moment dedicated to sharing the results of MATCHER and, in addition to the testimonials of speakers from the innovation ecosystem, it also saw the involvement of MATCH.POINT participants (corporates and start-ups) who created success stories thanks to the program.
